PRESS RELEASE

AutoWallis: Successful technical delivery of the new Jaguar and Land Rover showroom

on Váci út

Budapest, November 25, 2021 – The new Jaguar and Land Rover dealership and service center in the region will open in January, following the successful technical handover of the showroom located in Váci út 76-80. From the start of next year, the two iconic British brands represented by AutoWallis in Hungary and eight other countries in the region will be available to customers in a complex of over 2,200 square meters, where construction has associated the highest level of customer service with the requirement of sustainable operation.

The brand new car dealership and service center of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, represented by the AutoWallis group, located at the intersection of Váci út and Megyeri út in Budapest, was completed in just 8 months, and the successful technical delivery of the building took place on Wednesday. . AutoWallis purchased the development land in June 2020, which now houses a 2,244 square meter building where sales of the two iconic UK brands and related services will begin next January. The building houses an 874 square meter

showroom with space for 14 vehicles, 650 square meter service with 11 bays and a complete technical control area, with 720 square meters for other functions (customer service counter, warehouse, offices, etc.). Commenting on the award, Péter Antal, Head of the Retail & Services Business Unit at AutoWallis, said the total cost of the real estate development project was HUF 2.8 billion, part of which was covered by AutoWallis green bonds issued this summer. As a result, the the new complex complies with AutoWallis’ green financing framework and the investment has focused on sustainable operations: the building uses a heat exchanger system for heating and cooling, and after the commissioning of the second phase of the solar panels installed on the green roof, it will meet the conditions for an energy rating AA, in addition to which it also offers 7 chargers for electric vehicles. Péter Antal underlined that the new Budapest dealership will be one of the most important and prestigious Jaguar and Land Rover facilities in Central Europe. Its development is an important cornerstone of AutoWallis’ growth strategy. The general contractor for the property was Bernecker Zrt. and the general designer was Aspectus Zrt.

As a member of the AutoWallis group, Wallis Automotive Europe is the exclusive importer of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands on the Central and Eastern European market (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia) since 2016, and Hungary since spring 2020. According to Andrew Perst, head of distribution for AutoWallis

Business Unit, the last decade has been a clearJaguar Land Rover’s automotive success story, and its representation in Hungary since last year has been similarly successful. The British manufacturer is continuing its dynamic and innovative product development program, significantly increasing its prestige in the premium car market. Andrew Perst believes that the performance of the brands in Hungary shows that there is still room for growth, which is also supported by the fact that the number of vehicles sold this year has almost doubled compared to the figures for 2020. The importer intends to support this growth by expanding the presence of brands outside

the capital and building a nationwide network with showroom openings in a number of major cities across the country.
