A roundup of the world’s best theme parks has been revealed and one is just a short drive from Liverpool.

With half term fast approaching and many travel restrictions lifted, theme parks are a popular excursion for many families.

The top 10 theme parks, according to average monthly internet searches, have been unveiled with Blackpool Pleasure Beach making the cut.

There has been a spike in searches for theme parks around the world, with recent Google search data revealing that Alton Towers has the highest average monthly search volume for the world’s top theme parks, making it one of the most popular amusement parks on the planet.

Merchant Cash Advance have analyzed the world’s most popular theme parks and ranked, in order, the top 10 theme parks to visit this year – and neighboring site Blackpool Pleasure Beach made it into the top 10.

The most popular theme park by average monthly search on Google, by experts from Merchant Cash Advance, is Alton Towers, with 673,000 searches performed. Half of the top 10 theme parks in the world are in the United States. Only two are in the UK.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is located on the south shore of Blackpool and is widely regarded as Britain’s most intense amusement park. It has a 42 acre site, right on the waterfront and offers a choice of 10 roller coasters, five water rides and 125 other rides to enjoy.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is less than an hour and a half’s drive from Liverpool, with trains from Lime Street station to the popular park taking around an hour and a half.
