PayPal brings the magic of the holidays home with Christmas advertising

PayPal followed in Amazon’s footsteps and released a new Christmas ad featuring a ballerina. The ad urges consumers to have a magical Christmas to remember by creating personal memories no matter how you celebrate. You might not be able to be an awesome uncle this year, but you can always organize something special for your family at home.
Unlike Amazon’s ad, PayPal kept things strictly family-friendly and only made a subtle reference to the chaos of the global pandemic. They also took care not to upset the children, after making a public apologies for their 2015 ad that allegedly spoiled the magic of Christmas by daring to suggest that parents could actually go Christmas shopping.
The ad begins with a father admiring his daughter’s online ballet lesson, then we see him shopping for various pieces, sneaking around with boxes, and playing with the items he bought. At the end of the ad, he surprises his daughter with a ballet in which he leaves Santa Claus to continue taking care of everything else. To conclude, it took PayPal 5 years to create an advertisement that doesn’t spoil the Christmas spirit in the UK. You can watch the ad below.
